Katherine Troy, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Florida with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida, Tampa. Since 2013 I’ve built my career from the ground up—beginning as a caregiver for older adults, then serving as a behavioral technician in a crisis unit, and expanding into roles across private practice, crisis services, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. This breadth of experience has given me strong clinical skills and a practical understanding of what helps people move through distress toward lasting change.
I specialize in evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, and attachment-focused therapy to help clients manage stress and anxiety, resolve interpersonal difficulties, and build healthier relationships. I work with adults, seniors, teens, and children, tailoring treatment to each person’s strengths, needs, and goals. Whether you’re seeking short-term coping strategies or deeper work on attachment and relational patterns, I provide a compassionate, structured, and goal-oriented approach.
Outside of work I enjoy time with my husband, our two cats and dog, and good friends. I love being outdoors, practicing and learning about meditation, and traveling.
If you’re looking for a clinician who combines extensive clinical experience with practical, evidence-based tools and a collaborative therapeutic style, I’m here to help you navigate change and build resilience.
